BIPC (Business & IP Centre) Cumbria is part of a national network of centres by the British Library. Our centre is located in Carlisle library, and you can find the opening times at the Cumberland website.

The aim of these centres is to provide advice and support to business owners, entrepreneurs, inventors, and people with a business idea. Our team, as with our local partners, are here to help you achieve your business goals. Anyone can use the resources available at our centres free of charge. Some of our physical resources, such as books on business management, require a library membership to access. You can sign up to the library for free on Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness libraries website. You can find our BIPC online resources here.

We have built a brilliant roster of experts in residence at Cumbria BIPC, these are people in all areas of business who can add value to our offer and give you expert advice in all areas of business both pre and post start up. This comes in the form of a webinar program we are rolling out for free online, but if you want to see what has already come then click the link to go to our YouTube channel and watch a wide range of advice from our experts.
